Discover the Story

About the Book

When 26-year-old Mira Thornfield is mysteriously chosen as the next Head Librarian of the grand Everscript Library, she discovers this is no ordinary collection of books. The shelves rearrange themselves at night, books whisper their secrets, and the ancient magical Index has manifested as a handsome, slightly awkward young man who calls himself Paige.

As Mira navigates her new responsibilities and her growing feelings for the literal embodiment of her beloved books, a shadow looms. The Bookworm—not a humble insect but a miniature dragon with an insatiable appetite for magical text—has discovered the library after centuries of hibernation.

With each book it consumes, it grows larger and more dangerous, threatening not just the library but the very stories that bring magic to the world. Soon Mira must unlock her own unique abilities and gather allies from the pages of her favorite books to protect the library—and perhaps discover that the greatest story yet to be told might be her own.

"In the Everscript Library, every story is alive, every character has a voice, and every ending can be changed."

Sample Chapter

Mira Thornfield stood outside the imposing oak doors of Everscript Library, clutching the peculiar invitation that had fluttered through her apartment window last Tuesday. The paper still smelled faintly of vanilla and binding glue, and the elegant script seemed to shimmer in the early morning light.

"Just a building full of books," she whispered to herself, adjusting her glasses. "Nothing to be nervous about."

Yet as her fingers brushed against the brass handle, a current of something that felt suspiciously like magic tingled up her arm. The door swung open before she could even turn the handle, as if the library itself had been waiting for her.

Inside, shafts of golden sunlight streamed through stained glass windows, creating pools of rainbow light across worn wooden floors. The scent hit her immediately—old parchment, leather bindings, and something else... something like possibility.

The entrance hall rose impossibly high, shelves stretching up at least five stories, with delicate wrought-iron staircases spiraling between levels. Books of every size, color, and apparent age lined every available surface. Mira's heart quickened. This was more than just a library; it was a cathedral of stories.

"Welcome, Miss Thornfield. Precisely on time."

Mira turned to find an elderly woman regarding her with bright, knowing eyes. Her silver hair was arranged in a perfect bun, and she carried a teacup that steamed gently despite there being no visible source for hot water...
